This week I want to take the opportunity to remind you of a few important dates –

Saturday 21st May – RUPO LADIES “IN THE PINK” FUNCTION. This function welcomes all Football club and Auskick mothers to a luncheon to support and raise money for the Breast Cancer Foundation. The invitation and details are attached. To help make the day special for the Ladies I will hold an Auskick Grid Match at half time of the senior’s game. All Auskickers are welcome to attend and if anyone can volunteer to run a BBQ we can offer sausages and a soft drink for all Auskickers participating. There will be more detail about start times etc in coming communication. The Saturday morning session will still be held as normal.
Friday 27th May – Friday Night Auskick and Lapathon. Our session will shift to Friday night and Auskick will be “under lights”. We will hold our annual fund raising lapathon on this night and sausages and soft drink will be available for Auskick participants – again a couple of volunteers will be required to assist with BBQ. Auskick sponsorship forms will be distributed shortly.
Saturday 4th June – AFL Players Appearance. This date has been nominated for an Essendon AFL player to attend our session and assist with skills training – session times may be changed to suit the player attending. I will keep you informed.
AFL Victoria in conjunction with local football leagues are starting a girls U12 competition, so if you’re a girl and aged between 9 & 12 – have a look at the attached flyer from AFL Victoria/Auskick and join in the fun.
So there’s plenty of fun ahead for our kids. Please remember that we need volunteers to run these events and anyone interested in cooking BBQ’s or helping to hand out soft drinks please approach me ASAP.
Our coaches also need plenty of assistance on a Saturday morning. Our coaches strive to get to all our kids and with over 135 attending it’s a tough task. Help us out and put your hand up to man a skills station – your kids will benefit and I don’t know many that don’t actually enjoy it.
All the action from the Etihad stadium, is now available on our webiste. Go to News>Photo Gallery.
There’s heaps happening at Rupo Auskick in May – see you there and GO RUPO. Keep casting an eye over this website for various items of interest around the club in general.
