Monica Fox regularly cooks 200+ sausages at our Saturday Morning Auskick session. She takes her Hiace campervan down into Sunbury to purchase sausages, bread and sauce before our session.
 
Last Saturday (30/4), “Rastus” the campervan broke down in the middle of Sunbury’s busiest intersection. Most would hit the panic button as Sunbury residents hurl abuse at them for interrupting their Saturday morning – not Monica.
 
Monica’s first call was to Brad (our grade two coach and her husband). “Get me a tow rope and follow the abusive car horns. You will find me”. Rastus was hitched up and rescued, but not taken to a mechanic, but towed into Rupo and the sausages arrived safely.
 
Only after Monica cooked and served 200+ sausages and cleaned up did Rastus then get towed out to get attention.
 
Good people make clubs great – We have heaps at RUPO!

On Saturday 3rd September, our FIDA team were invited to play with players from the Gippsland FIDA team at half time of the Doggies vs Freo match. The team were all very excited and thoroughly enjoyed their experience.
