Following the passing of our friend and team mate - Stephen Buckman - on 29 May 2010, a group of dedicated people have donated their time, expertise, professional services and energy to commence a program to try to ensure that the circumstances under which Bucky passed away, are less likely to occur to others in the future.

This group of people named their organisation "Defib Your Club for Life (In memory of Stephen Buckman)". They are ably lead by club member Andrew White and Steve's mum Sue. The DYCFL groups ultimate goal is to raise enough money and awareness to have a defibrilator placed in every sporting club in Australia.

DYCFL have recently achieved charitable status as an organisation, and as such the committee of the Rupertswood Football Club have voted to make DYCFL as our "charity of choice". In future years, various activities and/or events will be organised to help raise money for DYCFL, and these will be communicated accordingly. In the meantime, we invite all our members to consider making an affordable donation via their website. Or at the very least, we invite you to keep yourself abreast of developments with their endeavours.
