On Saturday 3rd September, our FIDA team were invited to play with players from the Gippsland FIDA team at half time of the Doggies vs Freo match. The team were all very excited and thoroughly enjoyed their experience.
Special thanks to Peter Ryan (FIDA General Manager) and Frank Todarello (Rupo's FIDA co-ordinator) for making this possible.

On Sunday (3/7), our FIDA team played an away game against Gippsland in Yarragon (east of Warragul) and notched their first victory of 2011! The final scores were Rupo 7.5.47 defeating Gippsland 3.4.22.This was by far their best game since joining the competition last year, and they displayed some geat passages of play and teamed together very well.
  
The win followed an overnight stay at Camp Allambee, where the team spent Saturday afternon and evening enjoying each others company and throwing logs on the fire.
After settling in on the Saturday, they enjoyed various activities including a giant swing, which kept many on their toes in the height and movement stakes.
But for Phil Sexton locking his keys in his car and one of the buses steering locks jamming, prevent transport to the game, it was a trouble free weekend and the team had a great time.
Congratulations and thanks to Frank Todarello, Sue Sexton and Christine Guymer for their energy and commitment in organising a great weekend.

The F.I.D.A. Team had some eager U18s helping out at training on the weekend. The U18s had a bye, and were happy to help the team with their session.
