Junior Summer Skills Program
Thursday, 29 September 2011 22:51

Following a successful program last year, we are conducting another Junior Skills program during the off season, for any player who is eligible for either Under 14 or Under 16 in 2012, wanting to spend some extra time to help improve their skills for 2012 and beyond.

The program is being co-ordinated by 2011 Under 14 (1) assistant coach Tony Lucas. To help Tony, we are inviting our senior playing group to help out as well.

Further details are available here.

2011 Junior Presentations
Sunday, 18 September 2011 19:51

On a beautiful spring Sunday, our Junior teams celebrated their seasons in style.

All major trophies were presented in front of the entire age group, then each team spent some time together to award participation trophies and other thank yous.

Thanks to Adrian McDonald for the loan of his truck, which provided a great stage from which the major trophies were announced.

The club would also especially like to thank Sonia Marsden, D'eanne Downey, Adam Price, Maree, Murray & Hayley Goodwin, Chris Aulich, Kerry Jennings and Kieren Bolger.

But much more than presentations! Jumping castle, face painting and Pat's bus kept everyone entertained during the day. Even one last chance to buy Rupo apparel.

Thanks also go to those that volunteered to cook and serve BBQ and work in the canteen.

U14 (1) coach, Roger Podolczak has taken the crown from Kevin Quinn, for holding the longest ever team presentations. So much so, that we had to sound the siren to give him the hint to wrap things up. Good job Rog!

Please enjoy some images of the day below.

Mark Caldone & Brad Fox - Special Coaches
Thursday, 01 September 2011 13:02

On Monday 29th August, Rupertswood was well represented at the AFL North West Region Coaches Association Coach of the Year Awards.
Brad Fox (Auskick) was a strong contender for the Auskick Division.  I'm sure we will be seeing a lot more of Brad and his hard working wife Monica in the future as their boys move through the junior ranks at our club.  Well done Brad!

Mark Caldone (U10 Coach) was awarded the 2011 Coach of the Year (North West Region).  Mark is now a State Finalists which is held in November.  We all know the work that Mark does with Auskick, U10, U12 & U16 this year as well as his involvement in the Defib Your Club For Life campaign.  It was a well deserved win.

Rupertswood Football Club are proud and honored to have such high calibre coaches and volunteers who work so hard to ensure the kids all enjoy their football, form friendships and learn football and life skills.

CONGRATULATIONS TO BRAD AND MARK!
