The Club Maintains insurance policies under the umbrella of the VAFA'S insurance scheme.

Players and families should note that these Accident and Injury policies are 'top up' type policies and do not replace the need for individual Health Cover and Ambulance Cover.

A Loss of Income extension is also included but again players should ensure they also maintain private cover that meets their individual circumstances. IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE IN RESPECT TO LOSS OF INCOME, THAT PAYMENTS TO PLAYERS WILL ONLY OCCUR AFTER ALL AVAILABLE SICK LEAVE (IF AVAILABLE) IS USED. ALSO, A 2 WEEK "EXCESS PERIOD" APPLIES REGARDING THE LOSS OF INCOME. As an example : If you are off work for 4 weeks, and you have 2 weeks sick leave available to you, then you would not be entitled to income replacement under the policy. ie. 2 week excess (no payments from insurer) + 2 weeks sick leave = 4 weeks. The application of an "excess" is an insurance industry standard practice.

To commence a claim, please complete the form below, and pass to Robert Twentyman or if unavailable - Chris Aulich. They will then log you claim with the insurer, after which all correspondence will be between the insurer and yourself.
