On a great spring day at Visy Park, with a swirly breeze, Rupo took charge early and were dominant in all areas of the ground. Rupo were fierce at the ball and they let Oakleigh know that they were going to be winning more than their share of contested footy. We took charge early in the 3rd quarter, opening up a 6-7 goal margin, which was always going to be hard for Oakleigh to peg back. And peg back they couldn't! Oakleigh clearly were carrying injured players, and were playing some of their better players in "strange" positions. This along with a masterful coaching performance, proved to be a winning combination.

After a dominant season, only losing 1 game, the team thoroughly deserves their premiership.

Special mention to Brendon (aka Brendo) Grech, who suffered severely from leather poisoning on being clearly the best player on the ground, winning the medal for his efforts.
