Club Receives Ambulance Commendation
Saturday, 18 September 2010 16:50

Following a recommendation from the ambulance paramedics who attended the club on the night of 27th May, the night Stephen Buckman sadly passed away, Rupertswood Football Club has received a “Certificate of Commendation” from the Chief Executive Officer of Ambulance Victoria. The paramedics were high in their praise of not only those directly involved, but everyone who assisted in various roles, from calling the ambulance to directing traffic or providing support. They were also high in their praise of how the club has responded subsequently, in supporting the family and each other, and the positives steps of purchasing a defibrillator and upgrading CPR skills.

Travis Smith and I were privileged to accept the Commendation on behalf of the club.

Stuart Anderson (Club Doctor)
